10:05 AM EDT, 05/26/2026 (MT Newswires) -- Dropbox (DBX) said Tuesday it has named Ashraf Alkarmi, general manager, core, as co-chief executive officer and as a member of the board, effective immediately.
Alkarmi will be Co-CEO with Andrew Houston, current CEO and chairman, who will stay on for a period of time to ensure an smooth transition and then step down and transition to the role of executive chairman, the company said in a regulatory filing.
Alkarmi joined Dropbox in November 2024 and before that was chief product officer at Vimeo from 2022 to 2024, Dropbox said.
The company also said Michael Torres was named chief product officer, effective July 7.
Dropbox shares were 1.9% lower in recent trading.
